I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude and pride on everything we have accomplished together
As the 2024-2025 Lions year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude and pride on everything we have accomplished together. Serving as your District Governor for District 36E — spanning our passionate clubs across Southern Oregon and Northern California — has truly been an honor of a lifetime.
When I chose the theme “Bee a Lion — Service from the Heart and Make Your Mark,” I envisioned a year full of energy, heart, and action. Thanks to your incredible spirit, that vision became reality. Every service project, every new member welcomed, every hand extended to those in need — you each made your mark in a powerful way.
At our District 36E Convention, I had the privilege of presenting four Certificates of Appreciation, recognizing Lions who embodied the spirit of service and dedication. I was also honored to present a fifth Certificate of Appreciation at the Multiple District Convention — a testament to the strength of leadership across our district. Furthermore, at the MD Convention, I awarded a Leadership Medal, the third highest honor in Lionism, to a truly outstanding Lion who led with passion and vision. These awards represent not only individual achievement but the collective heartbeat of service that runs through our district.
As we celebrate all we've accomplished, I encourage every club to finish strong by applying for the Club Excellence Award. There is still time! Achieving this recognition not only honors your club's hard work but also ensures that we continue to set a standard of excellence for years to come. To qualify, clubs must: 1. Be in good standing. 2. Conduct meaningful service projects. 3. Support LCIF. 4. Grow membership. 5. Communicate effectively with the district. 6. And participate in leadership development opportunities. Please reach out if your club needs any help in completing the application! Deadline to submit your application: August 31, 2025!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your unwavering support, your service from the heart, and your commitment to making your mark on our communities. Though my term as District Governor concludes, my passion for Lionism continues — and I look forward to serving alongside each of you in new ways in the years ahead.
Together, we have buzzed with energy, made a lasting impact, and shown what it truly means to Bee a Lion.
Let’s finish strong — Bee a Lion and Make Your Mark!
