Lions Clubs of Multiple District 36, Oregon and Northern California

We Serve

Lions of Oregon & Northern California are a part of an international network of 1.4 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. Lions are best known for working to end preventable blindness, the giving of eyeglasses and hearing aids for the needy and local service projects.

Mission Statement of Lions Clubs International:

"To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation."

Spring Is Here, And With It Comes Renewed Energy For Service And Fellowship

Fellow Lions,

Spring is here, and with it comes renewed energy for service and fellowship. Our club is honored to host this year’s District 36-G Convention, and we are excited to welcome Lions from across the region to The Dalles. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your community, strengthen friendships, and share ideas that will help us grow and serve even better.  Our goal of increasing membership by 10% may seem aggressive, but if you think about it, a club of 30 members is only 3 new members.  Let’s make this a priority across out state.

🌍 Lions Clubs International Updates

Global Membership Growth Initiative: Lions Clubs International continues to focus on expanding membership worldwide, with new tools to help clubs recruit and retain members.

Service Focus Areas: Clubs are encouraged to increase impact in key areas—vision, hunger, environment, childhood cancer, diabetes, and disaster relief.

DG Tim McGlothlin  “We Serve”

Will you not help me hasten the day when there shall be no preventable blindness; no little deaf, blind child untaught; no blind man or woman unaided? I appeal to you Lions, you who have your sight, your hearing, you who are strong and brave and kind. Will you not constitute yourselves Knights of the Blind in this crusade against darkness?
